This cat bed was made out of a suitcase.

They used a small suitcase and cut off the top part. Then added a piece of foam board to cover the inside of the case.

Then attached Velcro strips along the sides of the case. The Velcro strips were used to attach a blanket to the side of the case.

Once everything was done, they filled the case with shredded newspaper and then placed their kitty inside.

DIY Hanging Wooden Basket Bed

This was a pretty simple project, and I’m sure you could easily modify it to make one for yourself.

Materials Needed:

• 1/8″ plywood
• Wood glue
• 2x 4s
• Drill
• Screws
• Nails
• Catnip

Steps:

1. Cut out the pieces for the base. Make sure to cut out the holes for the screws.
2. Attach the wood glue to the backside of each piece. Be careful not to let any of the edges touches. Let dry completely.
3. Attach the pieces together using the nails and screws.
4. Drill two small holes near the top of the base. These will be used to hang the basket.
5. Glue the catnip inside the basket.
6. Hang the basket where you want it.
7. Add catnip to the top of the basket.
8. Use the nippers to pinch off the ends of the catnip.
