They used a small suitcase and cut off the top part. Then added a piece of foam board to cover the inside of the case.
Then attached Velcro strips along the sides of the case. The Velcro strips were used to attach a blanket to the side of the case.
Once everything was done, they filled the case with shredded newspaper and then placed their kitty inside.

This was a pretty simple project, and I’m sure you could easily modify it to make one for yourself.
Materials Needed:
- 1/8″ plywood
- Wood glue
- 2x 4s
- Drill
- Screws
- Nails

Steps:
- Cut out the pieces for the base. Make sure to cut out the holes for the screws.
- Attach the wood glue to the backside of each piece. Be careful not to let any of the edges touches. Let dry completely.
- Attach the pieces together using the nails and screws.
- Drill two small holes near the top of the base. These will be used to hang the basket.
- Glue the catnip inside the basket.
- Hang the basket where you want it.
- Add catnip to the top of the basket.
- Use the nippers to pinch off the ends of the catnip.
